Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar today said that the sacking of minister K N Rajanna was the party decision and added that he doesn’t have much information about it.
“As far as I know, sacking of minister Rajanna is party’s decision. I don’t have any other info. I spoke to CM about and he told me what he knew,” he said while speaking to reporters at Vidhana Soudha.
Asked if K N Rajanna was sacked on the directions of the high command, he said, “I am also pained by this, he is a good friend. We have been politics together for the last 25 years.”
Replying to a question if there was any specific instruction from the high command to sack K N Rajanna, he said, “MLAs and ministers don’t come under my purview. As a party head, we only take actions like issuing show cause notices on disciplinary grounds. CLP leader has full control over MLAs and ministers.”
Asked about the reason for his sacking, he said, “It is a party decision, I don’t know much about it.”
