FIR registered against Puneeth Kerehalli for offensive remarks on Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan

Bengaluru: An FIR has been registered at the Chamarajpet police station in Bengaluru against Puneeth Kerehalli for making derogatory remarks involving religion and caste against the Minister of Housing and Minority Welfare, Zameer Ahmed Khan.

The FIR was filed on Wednesday based on a complaint by B.S. Ashok, the close aide of Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan.

On November 11, Puneeth Kerehalli allegedly made offensive comments about Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan on his Facebook link, targeting him based on religion and caste. He reportedly made provocative statements that could incite hatred between religious groups, used obscene language repeatedly to insult the minister, and even issued death threats.

The complaint requested immediate registration of the FIR and legal action against him.
