Bengaluru: The state Cabinet has approved the construction of the mini township on 500 acres of land on the outskirts of Bengaluru by Karnataka Housing Board. They will come up on 500 acres of land covering seven villages in Kengeri Hobli in Bengaluru South taluk and in Bidadi Hobli of Ramanagar district on 50:50 ratio, said Housing and Minorities Welfare Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan.
He said farmers have signed the letters to handover their land for Rs 1066.50 crore project which would come up in 5.5 km vicinity of the Bengaluru-Mysore national highway. With the farmers partnership, the mini township would be built on the international standards.
Khan said as many as 2666 applications had been received seeking the allotment of sites after the survey done in the Kengeri Hobli and Bidadi Hobli previously. Besides, nearly 3881 applications were pending seeking the plots and that would be considered under the proposed project.
