Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan gives a cash prize of Rs 50000 to a gold medal winner

Bengaluru: Housing and Minority Welfare Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan has given Rs 50,000 to a student Mohammad Tahir, who won a gold medal in the Karate Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Mohammad Tahir, who won the medal, was honored with a cash prize during a visit to the KPCC office to receive representation from the general public here on Friday.

Tahir, who came with his parents while visiting the KPCC office last month, said that he was selected for the international karate competition and faced financial difficulties. His father was working as an electrician and said that he was not able to arrange that much money. Then the minister gave him Rs 65,000 on the spot and arranged the flight ticket.
Tahir, who is studying at Crescent School, Hebbal, participated in the competition and won a gold medal. Tahir’s parents came to the minister today. They profusely thanked the Minister for his help without which their son could not have participated in the competition and won the gold medal. Zameer Ahmed Khan said that their son’s achievement is a matter of pride.
On this occasion, the minister personally donated Rs.2 lakh to 12:3 Global Organization, which works for special needs. Zameer Ahmed Khan received petitions from the public from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. from the party workers and the general public.

Regarding the housing and minority welfare department, he gave the applications to the officials and instructed them to take appropriate action.
He personally provided financial assistance to those who sought help for health and education.
Former MP Chandrappa, former Mayor Ramachandrappa, a former member of the Parishad Ramesh Babu, District Congress President Shekhar, leaders like G. A. Bawa and others were present.
