Kudligi: Housing, Minorities Welfare and Vijayanagar District-In-Charge Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan distributed a compensation of Rs 2 lakh individually to the family of a four-year-old boy, Tejas who was crushed under a rolling boulder at K.Raipur village in Kudligi taluk.

The minister was on a district tour came to know about the incident on Tuesday. He visited the village along with MLA Srinivas and consoled father Shantakumar and mother Malleshwari and offered compensation of two lakhs.

He also promised to build houses under the Ambedkar Awas scheme by the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation. Zameer Ahmed Khan said that he would also provide assistance from the Chief Minister’s relief fund.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Srinivas said that today the district in-charge minister came to the spot immediately after hearing the news and gave a compensation of Rs. He said that he will thank him on behalf of the people of the constituency.

The MLA said the minister also promised to provide houses to all the villagers in this particular village which comes under the mining-affected area.
