Bengaluru, April 9: Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on Sunday called upon the youth to “throw out the 40 percent government lock, stock and barrel”
Speaking at an interactive session titled “My Vote for Excellent Skill & Glorious Future” with hundreds of youth, Tharoor said the BJP government in Karnataka is so steeped in corruption, it has resulted in the state going back by three decades.
“The time has come to gird up your loins and see that this corrupt and inefficient government is thrown out once and for all,” he added.
According to Tharoor, it is necessary to bring the party with pluralistic outlook, pro-people concern and efficient in administration to power.
“It is only the Congress that fits the bill. This 40 percent government has been found wanting in all respects,” Shashi Tharoor added.
He further said that Karnataka was a peaceful and progressive state with all Faith’s and religious denominations living in peace and harmony.
“However, the BJP government has spoilt and destroyed the secular fabric of the state by its divisive policies and partisan politics. The sooner this government goes, better for the future of Karnataka,” the senior Congress leader explained.
State Youth Congress President Raksha Ramaiah, former minister and Byatarayanapura MLA Krishna Byre Gowda and other senior leaders were present.
