New Delhi, March 17: The BJP has decided to take on the Congress with the ruling party asking Rahul Gandhi to apologize or face nation-wide campaign.
“The Congress leader has insulted the country on a foreign soil. Rahul Gandhi must render an unconditional apology. If not, the BJP will launch a nationwide campaign,” BJP leader and former Union law minister Ravishankar Prasad has said.

Prasad slammed Rahul Gandhi for his comments to the effect that ‘the success of democracy depends on whether he is allowed to speak in the parliament or not’
“Rahul Gandhi’s speech in parliament cannot be the barometer for the success or otherwise of democracy in India. This is height of arrogance,” Prasad added.
Meanwhile, Union law Minister Kiran Rijiju said that Rahul Gandhi was a ‘liar’ who utters untruth at the drop of the hat.
” In London, Rahul Gandhi said he was not allowed to speak in parliament. This was proved to be a lie. He has spoken more than the allotted time. Then Rahul Gandhi said he was not allowed to speak in colleges and universities. This is also wrong. He has addressed numerous rallies across the country. Where is the question of absence of democracy?” Rijiju asked.

The Union law minister took potshots against Rahul Gandhi for his double standards.
“For you, democracy is fine if you win the elections. And democracy has failed if you lose elections. This is nothing but rank opportunism,” Rijiju said.
