Bengaluru, February 2: Offence is the best form of Defence, is a time-tested strategy in any battle. This is applicable even in the electoral battle. And the BJP has understood as well as realised this, rather, a trifle late.
With N.R. Ramesh filing a voluminous complaint against several Congress leaders accusing them of indulging in corruption – including Siddaramaiah – the BJP has decided to go all out offensive against the Grand Old Party (GoP) on the issue of corruption.
“We will turn the tables on the Congress on the issue of graft. Congress will stand no chance. We will be brazen and It is going to be carpet bombing,” a BJP strategist who is working with the Central party unit, told The Newz Peg.
It may be recalled that the Congress has been accusing the BJP government as 40 percent commission regime and has called Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai as ‘PayCM’. “But the Congress will get it back more severely in the same coin,” the strategist added.
On the issue of development, BJP will be ‘assertive’ with the party and the government listing out the achievements done for the last four years.
“We will also highlight the hollowness of the Congress’s claim of fulfilling 156 out of 165 promises. We are busy compiling the list of failures and list of untruths being repeatedly uttered by the Congesss,” a top leader said.
