No sale of Non-Veg items around Aero India venue

Bengaluru, January 28: Sale of Non-Veg items has been banned around Yelahanka Air Force base, the venue of Aero India show.
The Bruhath Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has issued orders to that effect.
Preparation and sale of Non-veg items is not allowed from January 30 to February 20. Aero India show is slated to be held from February 13 to 17.

“Since the aircrafts will be on training sortie from February 1, the preparation and sale of non-veg items has been banned from January 30. Foreign aircraft are slated to start leaving Yelahanka Air Base starting 18 till 20th. Hence, the ban is till 20 February,” BBMP officer of the rank of Joint Commissioner told The Newz Peg here on Saturday.
The ban of Non-Veg items will be in effect in the 10-Kms radius of Yelahanka Air Force base.
The BBMP has asked the authorities to mudcapping of all lands to stop movement of birds.

“Even fishing in various lakes and ponds around Yelahanka Air Force base has also been banned. An order to that effect has been issued by the Department of Fisheries,” BBMP sources added.
BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath inspected the areas in and around Yelahanka Air Force base. He was accompanied by P.V. Poornima, Joint Commissioner BBMP for Yelahanka and Byatarayanapura zones and other officials.
