Bengaluru, Sep 19: Sharananda Swamiji, who was formerly with the Murugha math, has made some shocking revelations against Murugha seer. He has revealed that some sexual abuse victims have undergone an abortion and some ’disappeared’.
He claimed that other victims have left the mutt hostel facility. The accused seer has used orphan students who are being addressed as ‘Basava’ for his sexual favors.
According to a police source, Murugha seer allegedly sexually assaulted minor girls for over a decade.
The police also are investigating foreign trips made by the accused seer amidst accusations that he went to Thailand on a ‘pleasure trip’, the sources said. He had also constituted a group of boys to cater to his needs by convincing girls to cooperate with him.
Shivamurthy Sharanaru is presently lodged in the district prison of Chitradurga.
