Davanagere, August 03: The stage is all set for the celebration of 75th birth anniversary of Congress leader Siddaramaiah. As many as 6 lakh party workers and fans of Siddaramaiah are expected to gather at the venue.
Over 1,500 cooks have been appointed to prepare food, sweet and other dishes for those attending the event.
Police have tightened the security across the district. 16 DySPs, 118 Inspectors, 360 PSIs, 354 ASIs, 2796 Constables and other personnel from KSRP, Homewards and volunteers have been deployed. Additional drone cameras also deployed for the security purpose.
Police have marked several parking places in and around the programme venue. Over 30,000 vehicles are expected to be parked in those venues. Due to Siddaramotsava, The Pune -Bengaluru highway has already witnessed high amount of vehicle movement and long traffic jam has irked other passengers also.
