Kashmiri Pandit shot dead by militants in Jammu Kashmir today

Jammu Kashmir, May31: Militants have killed a migrant Kashmiri Pandit high school teacher in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
Deceased has been identified as Rajni Bala (36), a resident of Samba. Bala was posted as teacher at Gopalpora area of Kulgam district, where she sustained bullet injuries. She was rushed to hospital immediately where she was declared dead.
This is the second killing of Kashmiri Pandit in the month of May. Earlier, two civilians (one of them was Kashmiri Pandit) was killed by terrorist. Following Rajni Bala’s death police have said that, the terrorists involved in this gruesome act of violence will be identified and neutralised soon.
The area is surrounded by police personnel and the security has been tightened after the incident Former J&K CM and leader of National Conference Omar Abdullah has condoned for Rajni Bala’s death.

“This is yet another targeted killing in a long list of recent attacks directed at unarmed civilians. Words of condemnation & condolence ring hollow as do the assurances of the government that they will not rest till situation normalises. May the deceased rest in peace,” said Omar Abdullah in his tweet.
