Bengaluru, March 30: Senior BJP functionary from Basavakalyan Mallikarjun Khuba is all set to join JDS shortly.
“I am disgusted with the attitude of the BJP leadership. There is no proper recognition for old and loyal workers,” Mallikarjun Khuba told media on Thursday.
He lambasted the BJP for indifferent attitude shown by the state leadership towards him in the party.
“In fact, the leadership did not give sufficient funds during 2018 elections. If I had to sell my house and property, then the responsibility is that of the BJP,” he added.
Mallikarjuna Khuba said he is joining JDS ‘uncondotionally’ perhaps in about a week or so. “I want to see H.D. Kumaraswamy as Chief Minister. I will work for the party and put all my efforts to bring JDS back to power,” Khuba explained.
He dropped broad hints that several BJP functionaries at the grassroot level in the entire Kalyana Karnataka region are planning to quit BJP.
“The discontentment among the BJP cadre is intense and widespread. I am sure it is going to explode any time,” Mallikarjun Khuba added.
According to him, the BJP cadre is unhappy and happy because they have been neglected and ignored by the party. “Even in matters related to appointments to boards and corporations, new comers were preferred at the cost of loyal and old workers,” Mallikarjun Khuba said.
