Bengaluru, March 24: Scores of Congress workers and senior functionaries have said that their leader Rahul Gandhi must change his speech-writers and advisers to avoid acute embarrassment in future.
When The Newz Peg spoke to Congress functionaries randomly, they admitted that their leader would not have received the flak from the Surat Court leading to disqualification had he been more serious and matured in his talk and behavior.

“Rahul Gandhi’s speech-writers are all amateurish and root-less entities. They don’t have any idea of the grass-root reality. They are also boorish in their thinking and behavior. Unfortunately, Rahul Gandhi listens to such unprofessional advisers and speech-writers. This has got him to trouble,” said a senior Congress functionary, who is also a former legislator.
Scores of Congress workers admitted that Rahul Gandhi must change his advisers and speech-writers. “Look at Modi. He connects very well with the people. He strikes a right emotional chord with the local population by speaking about local issues, local temples, local mutts and local eminent personalities. His pronunciation is also very distinct. We must need to learn from Modi’s speech-writers,” said a woman Congress functionary, who is also a ticket aspirant from a leading and prestigious Assembly constituency in Bangalore city.
Those who say that Rahul Gandhi is being thoroughly misguided by his advisers also admit that he has stopped listening to seniors and elders but depends completely on “a team of young boys and girls” who advise him day in and day out.

“This team of young boys and girls are all tech-savvy. They ferret out some information from Google. They prepare speech points. On the other hand, speech-writers must have abundant presence of mind and earthy common sense which we see in Modi’s speech writers,” said a senior Congress leader.
Embarassment was writ large on the face of Congress workers after their leader Rahul Gandhi was disqualified from the membership of the Lok Sabha following his conviction by Surat Court for his “All thieves have Modi as surname” comment in a public meeting at Kolar in 2019.
