Bengaluru, March 21: Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Dr Mahesh Joshi has directed the executive members not to speak in a raised voice in the meeting.
“I know you want to make your presence felt and your voice heard. I hereby warn of strict action if you raise your voice,” Dr Mahesh Joshi has said, in a circular sent to all the members.

Joshi’s circular also states that members must come to the meeting in time. Fifteen minutes grace time will be given. “If you fail to come within that time, you are marked absent,” the circular states.
He has also directed the members not to speak to the media on the deliberations of the executive meeting. “Only the President will brief the media,” the circular states. The members, however, can speak to the media in their respective districts.
The circular also states that the members must stick to the agenda during discussion and should not mix up issues. “If anything else is to be discussed apart from the set agenda, then the members must inform the office in writing three days before the meeting,” the circular states.
Joshi has also made it clear in categorical terms that the members should not raise their personal issues and grievances.

“I will not allow you to mix up your personal issues with the cause of Kannada. The Parishat will not handle your personal issues. Parishat is neither accountable nor answerable to your personal actions, private conduct and behaviour,” Mahesh Joshi’s circular states.
