Bengaluru, March 7: The rudderless Karnataka BJP on Tuesday rushed to former Chief Minister B. S Yediyurappa and appealed to him to resolve the differences between two warring leaders R. Ashok and V. Somanna.

The Vijay Sankalp Yatra came to an abrupt halt at Govindarajanagar and Vijayanagara border with both Ashok and Somanna abandoning the Rath midway thus leaving the workers in the lurch.

The simmering differences between Somanna and Ashok is over the Bangalore Development portfolio. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has retained that prestigious department with himself.
The coming to the fore of the differences between two leaders of considerable influence in their respective communities has made BJP panic.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has given the task to the state unit to win all the 28 seats in Bangalore district. Given this kind of internal wranglings, the saffron party is in a quandary.

In this background, the BJP has sought Yediyurappa’s intervention to resolve the dispute. “Yediyurappa Kayo Thandhe” is the song the state BJP leaders are currently singing.
