Bengaluru, Feb 21: Disgusted over the non-stop ‘tu tu mey mey’ of the two lady officers for the last three days, the state government on Tuesday cracked the whip. It removed both the officers from their respective posts but did not give new posting.
“Take a walk you two to nowhere” is the stern, no-nonsense message given by the state government to both the officers.

IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri was removed from the post of Commissioner, Muzrai while IPS officer D. Roopa Moudgil was removed from the post of Managing Director, Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation.

“This is the first step towards disciplining both of them. The government will watch the conduct and behaviour of both the officers from now onwards. Let’s see how conduct themselves,” a top bureaucrat told The Newz Peg.
The Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (DPAR) issued notice to both Rohini and Roopa asking them why they approached the media with their respective grievances when both had opportunity to present their views before an appropriate authority.

“This conduct of taking the media and social media route to speak out against each other is unbecoming of the All India Officers and a clear violation of All India Civil Services and Conduct Rules,” the notice issued to both of them stated.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that both the officers have been warned not to go to the media anymore. “The Chief Secretary has warned them. They have agreed to maintain truce as well as discipline. Let’s see,” Bommai added.
