Bengaluru, February 14: One of the most happening place of Bangalore, the famous Church Street, is all drowned in Red.
Heart-shaped red balloons, garlands, banners dot the entire 750-meter road just off the iconic M. G. Road. Pubs, bars and restaurants have come out with offers to attract the young crowd.

“We release special drinks, food, snacks and beverages on this special occasion. We also offer discounts on sales,” Lawrence Raj Kumar, who is working as a supervisor in a restaurant, told The Newz Peg.
The floating crowd will be on Church Street right from morning till late night. The composition of the crowd, naturally, is young.
“There are some shops who make mementos such as heart-shaped key chains, photo frame etc, etc. These mementos are given free along with the items they buy,” Sridhar, a manager of a well-known shop for gifts on M. G. Road said.

The entire street along with Brigade Road is decked up with red flowers and red-coloured arches welcome the visitors. Shops have been playing instrumental music, especially romantic numbers.
“The sales is generally high on weekend. On such special occasions it will further go high,” Sridhar added.
But the number of people who visit Brigade Road and Church Street has come down due to the coming up of posh malls in various extensions and residential areas, say many of the shop owners.
