Hyderabad, Feb 10: Taking a dig at Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, state BJP President Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that, if BJP comes to power in next election, it will demolish the ‘Domes’ of newly constructed Secretariat building as it doesn’t represent the culture of this country.

As a part of BJP’s campaign ‘Janam Gosa-BJP Bharosa’, he was addressing a meeting at Old Bowenpally. New Secretariat was initially set to be inaugurated on Feb 17, on the account of KCR’s birthday.
“The Secretariat building, named after Babasaheb Ambedkar by the BRS government, should be inaugurated on April 14, Ambedkar’s birth anniversary,” Kumar said.
“With Rs 1,500 crore, he is building Secretariat like Taj Mahal. Once BJP government is formed, we will definitely demolish those domes. We will change the Secretariat in such a way that it reflects Telangana and Indian culture,” he said alleging that Telangana CM is trying to appease AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi.

He also said Pragati Bhavan, the Chief Minister’s camp office-cum-official residence would be converted into a ‘Praja Darbar’.
In a reply to this, Telangana Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao said the opposition parties talked about demolitions and that they lacked a constructive approach.
