Hassan, January, 23: Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah on Saturday expressed unhappiness over his party cadre not attacking BJP and JDS as vociferously as it should have been.
“I don’t know why this sense of diffidence among our cadre. There is no need to be shy of attacking BJP and JDS. Go all out against these two parties,” Siddaramaiah said while addressing Praja Dhwani, his party’s outreach programme at Hassan.
According to Siddaramaiah, BJP was communal and has a sinister agenda of fomenting communal fire in order to win the elections.
“This BJP government has also proved to be totally incompetent. People are yearning to throw this BJP government at the earliest available opportunity,” the leader of the Opposition added.
Taking on the JDS in its home turf, Hassan, Siddaramaiah said that JDS was opportunistic party which does not have any principled stand.
“All that the JDS is aiming to get 30 to 35 seats and wants a hung assembly so that it can indulge in its favourite pastime of blackmail politics. So, any vote for JDS is a vote for political instability,” Siddaramaiah explained.
Siddaramaiah called upon his party workers to “to go for the kill” – in sports parlance – in exposing the BJP and JDS and speaking all out against the two parties.
“Congress has done its duty as Opposition party in attacking the BJP government inside the Assembly. Now, the workers must start speaking against the BJP and JDS in each and every street and in every household. The time is ripe for the Congress to return to power,” the leader of the Opposition said.
