New Delhi, January 21: Managing the influence of Chinese commercial entities will be one of the major topic of discussions at the three-day annual senior police officers conference that commenced on Friday.
The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has recently created a new wing – China Coordination Centre – to collaborate with financial enforcement agencies in order to probe the Chinese companies.
The IB sees that there is something ominous in the ‘conduct, behaviour as well as transactions’ by the Chinese firms of late.
The assessment by several intelligence agencies including the IB found that Chinese Commercial Entities operating in India have five objectives – influencing the minds, build economic control, acquisition of data for espionage and to target scientists in order to compromise innovation and Intellectual Property Rights.
According to the report collected and collated by various Indian Intelligence Agencies, China’s vacuum cleaner approach digital loan Apps and gaming platforms are being used to ‘acquire masses of real-time online sensitive personal data’.

It is to monitor the of these ‘seemingly innocuous’ entities the IB recently created China Coordination Centre.
According to the Intelligence Agencies, China is using small-size shell companies as financial conduits in order to fund espionage rings and resident agents.
The 57th annual conference of Director General and Inspector General of Police was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the conference today (Saturday). The conference is presided over by Director, IB.
