Hubballi, January 17: Vijayapura BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal on Monday said that he has been called by a senior party leader to visit Delhi for discussion on Panchamsali demand for reservation under 2A category.
“I will go to Delhi immediately. I am hopeful that something good will come out of this visit” Yatnal told reporters.

Yatnal also said that the party leaders have told him not to make any statements on reservation issue and also not to speak against any party leader.
It may be recalled that Yatnal and Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani had locked horns on the issue of reservation recently.

Another minister C. C. Patil had also joined hands with Nirani to take on Yatnal.
Sensing that the intra-party wranglings between its leaders will damage the party’s image and reputation, the BJP central leadership had asked both Yatnal and Nirani not to speak against each other in public.
Meanwhile, Jaya Mrutyunjaya Swami, the Seer of Panchamsali sect, continued his indefinite dharna in support of his demand for providing reservation to Panchamsali sect under 2A category.

“Let’s wait for the outcome of Yatnal’s visit to Delhi. I will see what has the BJP to offer. After that we will decide what is to be done. As of now, our strike will continue,” the seer told the journalists who visited him.
The BJP is holding its two-day national executive meeting in the nation’s capital. Elections to Karnataka Assembly is one of the important topic for discussion.
It could not be ascertained whether Yatnal would visit Delhi when the National Executive is on or he will visit later.
