Bangalore, Dec 20: Senior BJP leader and former MINISTER K. S. Eshwarappa on Tuesday expressed his ire over not considering him for cabinet berth even after he got a clean chit in the case pertaining to the suicide of a contractor.
“I was told by the party President as well as the Chief Minister that I will taken back to the cabinet after I am found innocent in the case. Now that the investigating agency has exonerated me four months ago, I am surprised as well as pained by this inordinate delay,” Eshwarappa said, while addressing the media at a private hotel in Bangalore.

He further said, “There was no need for me to resign as I am in no way involved. But still I resigned on moral grounds. Now it is the responsibility of the party and the CM to take me back to the cabinet”
In reply to a question, Eshwarappa said he has not approached any Central leader on this issue. “Why should I approach? The CM and the Party President should take up the issue,” he added.
In reply to an another question, the BJP leader said he will go to Belagavi session and meet the Chief Minister on this issue. “I do not want to embarrass the party and the government by taking any unsavoury step but I will mount moral pressure on the leadership, Eshwarappa said
He recalled that he, along with B. S.Yediyurappa and Ananth Kumar has built the party from the scratch for the last four decades.
