CBI conducts raids at educational institutes owned by DKS

Bengaluru, Dec.19: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President D K Shivakumar headed educational institutions in the city on Monday.
CBI sleuths raided the office of National Education Foundation at Rajarajeshwari Nagar, which runs several schools and colleges including Global Academy of Technology.
The CBI personnel are verifying into the documents of the educational institutions. This follows the CBI investigation into Benniganahalli land denotification case after a social activist T J Abraham filed a complaint.
Four days ago, the CBI personnel had inquired Abraham over the complaint. D K Shivakumar is the Chairman and his daughter Aishwarya is the secretary of the National Education Foundation.
In the recent years, IT and ED sleuths have already carried out raids on Shivakumar’s properties and investigations are still underway.
Shivakumar had also been arrested and kept in judicial custody for sometime, till he was granted bail by a court in Delhi.
