Bharat Jodo Yatra Resumes: Sonia Gandhi joins RaGa

Mandya, Oct 6: After pausing for two days, Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra has been resumed today at Pandavapura Taluk. As per the schedule, it will end in Nagamangal taluk. On the account of of Ayusha Puja and Vijayadashami a two-day break was given to the rally.
For the first time since the Yatra was begun, Congress Supremo Sonia Gandhi has joined RaGa, Siddaramaiah, D K Shivakumar and other Congress leaders. Sonia Gandhi walked for ten minutes near Amruthigrama in Mandya on Thursday, and is currently travelling in a car. After few minutes, she again joined Rahul Gandhi and started walking with him.

Former CM Veerappa Moily, and Congress leader KH Muniyappa also joined the march on Thursday.

The Yatra will pass through Karnataka for 21 days covering 511 km in the state. It began on September 7 from Kanyakumari and entered Karnataka on Friday after passing through Tamil Nadu and Kerala. 

The Bharat Jodo Yatra entered the 26th day of its almost five-month journey from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
