Prashath Patil is a cousin of Santhosh Patil, on Tuesday filed a petition to question the validity of the Clean chit given to Eshwarappa by the Special Investigating Team (SIT) in the Special People’s Representative Court in Bengaluru.
He claimed that SIT detectives have submitted the B-report (closure report due to the absence of evidence) in the wake of political pressure. He also asked the court’s permission to entrust the case to an agency that is not his. Karnataka Police had submitted the closure report last month.
