No murder attack has been reported at Ullal- Mangalore City Police Commissioner

Mangaluru, August 03: The Mangaluru City Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar said that appropriate action would be taken against the individual who spread rumours about a sword attack. Reportedly, a man had claimed that he was chased by someone trying to attack him with a sword in the jurisdiction of the Ullal police station.
According to the police, a Uchil resident identified as Kishore is the man who spread the rumour.
On Wednesday morning, Kishore had spread a rumour that he had been chased by someone carrying a sword at K.C Nagar’s Mullugudde. The Ullal police revealed that when the police questioned him about the incident, they learned that no such instance had occurred and that he had lied about the entire episode.
The Mangaluru Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar responded concerning the incident and said, “Incident of sword attack has not occurred. When I visited the place and questioned the person who spread this rumour, he confessed that he had imagined it, as nobody had attacked him with a sword and neither had anybody chased him. Appropriate action will be taken against the person who spread this rumour”, he informed.
