Rajasthan, June 29: In a bloodcurdling incident, Islamists mercilessly hacked Tailor Kanhaiyalal Teli to death in his shop in a busy market in Udaipur for his social media post supporting suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.
Two accused reached the victim’s shop on Tuesday afternoon in the Dhan Mandi police station area, police said. One of the assailants, who is identified as Riyaz, attacked Kanhaiya Lal with a sharp-edged weapon while the other recorded the crime on his mobile phone, police said.
Soon after, they circulated a video of themselves confessing to the killing on social media and threatened PM Modi’s life as well.
Why they killed him:

According to the market people, Kanahiya Lal reportedly also approached police and filed a complaint with them over the unending barrage of death threats he was receiving from the bloodthirsty mob of miscreants.
The killers barged into his shop in broad daylight and inflicted several cuts with a sharp weapon and slit his throat. Not only this, the blood-chilling act was video-graphed but the video has been posted online, where the assailants can be seen attacking the victim with sharp weapons.
Kanhaiyalal Teli, 40, was a tailor and owned a shop named Supreme Tailors near the Bhootmahal located in Dhanmandi. On Tuesday, two bike-borne miscreants stopped at his shop and entered inside. One after the other, they unleashed their murderous rage on Teli, attacking him with sharp weapons more than half a dozen times, leading to his death. Thereafter, the two miscreants fled away.
Tension in Udaipur:
Locals protested after the incident that took place in broad daylight. Shops in the Maldas street area of Udaipur have been closed following the incident.
Following the murder, local markets in the area were shut as the traders demanded that the accused be arrested.
Internet services temporarily were also suspended for the next 24 hours in the Udaipur district, following the incident murder of a man in the city.
What police and CM Ashok Gehlot said:
