Bangalore, June 07: Karnataka Education department has dropped controversial Rohit Chakratirtha’s name from PU textbook revision committee. In contradiction to the earlier comments made by Education Minister B C Nagesh, the govt has dropped Rohit to avoid further controversies.
Prior to this, the government had revised the new text of the new religions of Chapter 4.2 in the Second PUC. Rohit Chakrabortha was entrusted with the responsibility of revising the text. The Minister of Education, B C Nagesh, has come forward to drop the Rohit Chakratirtha-led committee in the wake of the controversy over the revision of school text.
Education Minister BC Nagesh said that the government will not receive the report of the committee chaired by Rohit Chakratirtha chaired the committee.
