Bengaluru: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar today said Kumaraswamy was targeting him as he was getting restless without power.
Speaking to reporters at Congress Bhavan on Race Course Road, he said, “Kumaraswamy thought he would be a kingmaker but people gave him only 19 seats. While people have given 136 seats for my presidency.”
“He is getting restless. Kumaraswamy has joined hands with the BJP because he has weakened. Let him ask for my resignation, he is free to express his opinion. How can I stop him?” he added.
Asked about MLC elections, he said, “We will start the work on MLC elections once teachers and graduates’ constituency elections are over.”
Mr Shivakumar congratulated youth who donated blood in a blood donation camp organised by Youth Congress leader Manjunath Gowda.
