Hospete, Sept. 25: Sanctioning of widows, disability pension on the spot, distribution of worker’s cards, and directions to clear public petitions within a time limit.
This is the way Housing, Minorities Welfare and In-Charge Minister of Vijayanagar District Zameer Ahmed Khan responded at the district Janata Darshan held here on Monday. He addressed the problems of the citizens on the spot and received thousands of petitions from the general public during the Janata Darshan.

The minister, within one hour distributed the widow pension sanction letters to Lakshmi and Kenchamma of Daanayakanakere and also the disability pension letter to Jaya Bai. As many as 250 persons were given the labor card for which they had applied.
He instructed officials to divide the applications received during today’s Janata Darshan department-wise and dispose of the same within the stipulated period. Action taken on the applications must be informed to the applicants through SMS or telephone. The Action Taken Report must be submitted during the next Janata Darshan.

Zameer Ahmed Khan individually made the financial help towards the education and healthcare of some applicants. A delegation from the Hampi Janata Plot came to explain problems in their area and they were promised of facilities after personally visiting the area on Tuesday.
MLAs Gaviyappa, Srinivas and Latha Mallikarjun, Deputy Commissioner Divakar, Additional Deputy Commissioner Anuradha, SP Haribabu, ZP CEO Sadashiva Prabhu, and others were present.

Later, talking to reporters, the minister complimented the chief minister for directing all the ministers to hold district-level Janata Darshan to address the problems of the people on the spot. The CM would be requested to fix a monthly date for the Janata Darshan.
