26 political parties from all over India will participate in the second Opposition summit in Bengaluru on 18th July, after a successful meeting in Patna.

Briefing media about this summit, AICC General Secretary (Organisation) Shri K. C. Venugopal said that all the parties are united by a common purpose to protect democracy and the independence of our institutions, which are under attack by the Modi government. He reiterated that the present regime wants to suppress the Opposition’s voice and is misusing the agencies for this purpose and also to destabilise the elected governments. Shri Venugopal gave the examples of Shri Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification from Parliament and the NCP split in Maharashtra to corroborate his allegation. He expressed confidence that Opposition unity will prove to be a gamechanger and people of the country will teach a lesson to those leaders who have cheated them by making false promises.
