Bengaluru, 31 May 2025 — The campus of Chennais Amirta International Institute of Hotel Management was vibrant with colour, culture, and celebration as it hosted the grand Kalakrithi 4.0 event, marking the celebration of its 15-year journey of excellence in hospitality education, under the visionary leadership of Chairman, Mr. Boomee Naathan.
The institution was honoured to welcome Chief Guest, Mr. Vasishta Niranjan Simha, acclaimed Kannada and Telugu actor and playback singer, best known for his role in the blockbuster KGF. His presence added star power to the Gala Event.
The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Mr. Simha and institution dignitaries marked the auspicious beginning of the celebrations.
The audience was treated to a spectacular mix of performances, blending the elegance of classical Indian dance forms with the energy of contemporary fusion. Solo and duet dance numbers, spanning both traditional and Western styles, captivated the crowd and showcased the diverse talents of the student body. The entire celebration was a vibrant gala, reflecting a beautiful confluence of cultural richness and modern flair.
The highlight of the day was the grand felicitation ceremony, where over 100 outstanding students and staff were recognized for their exemplary achievements on national and international platforms. Awards worth ₹10 lakhs were presented in honour of their hard work, dedication, and excellence in the field.
Mr. Simha, lauded the students for their confidence and creativity, “It’s amazing to see that the students are super talented. Wonderful that Chennais Amirta is creating such a dynamic platform that nurtures talent beyond the classroom.”
Kalakrithi 4.0 not only celebrated the achievements of the institution but also highlighted its commitment to holistic development, and that education extends beyond academics to empower future leaders of the global hospitality industry.
Established in 2010, Chennais Amirta IIHM celebrates 15 years of excellence in hospitality education. With over 27,000 students placed—including 2,000+ internationally—and a 100% placement record at its Bengaluru campus, the institute leads in industry-focused training. Honoured five times by The Times of India, it made history in 2024 as the first Indian institute to win Gold at the Culinary Olympics.
