Bengaluru, May 29, 2025: Energy Minister K.J. George has stated that the Greater Bengaluru administrative system will not have any adverse impact on Kempegowda’s legacy in Bengaluru.

During his visit to the KPCC office today,  after meeting with party leaders and workers, he firmly dismissed the allegations that Greater Bengaluru would undermine Kempegowda’s legacy, describing them as baseless. He further clarified that the Greater Bengaluru Administrative Act is being developed solely for administrative purposes, with no other intentions involved.

He also explained that although new municipal corporations may be established under Greater Bengaluru, their names will remain unchanged as Bengaluru South, Bengaluru North, and Bengaluru City. He assured that there would be no transfer of revenue between corporations. Additionally, the government will offer extra financial assistance to economically weaker corporations.
