Bengaluru, Dec 4: Stating that he would always remain loyal to the Party and to the CM chair, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar today said that the Chief Minister’s word was final and there were no ways about it.

Speaking to reporters here, he said, “When the CM has said something, there are no two ways about it. His word is final.” He was replying to a query on CM Siddaramaiah’s statement that there was no arrangement on CM post.

Asked about ED’s letter to Lokayukta in the Muda case, he said, “Investigations must be confidential. All proof must be submitted only to the Court. Leaking investigation details to the media shows their desperation. It is clear now there is no strength in their case, we will however fight it out in the court of law. We have faith in our legal system.”

Asked if one investigating agency was influencing the other in Muda case, he said, “The ED has investigated me and filed a charge sheet. The Court has given a verdict. Money hasn’t changed hands and no money was found during the raid, then where is the question of money laundering? It is the first time that I am witnessing one investigative agency dictating another agency. The people will reply to this and we will too.”

Asked about CM’s statement that convention in Hassan would draw large crowds, he said, “Very happy if more people come. We came to power with the support of all sections of the society. We have invited everyone for the event which is being organised under the Congress Party’s banner.”

Asked about preparations for the convention, he said, “Hope it doesn’t rain. Not much can be done if it rains, we have made our preparations. BJP is spreading rumours about the convention.”
