Ramanagara/Channapatna: During a campaign speech in Samandipur village in the Channapatna Assembly constituency, Union Minister Kumaraswamy became emotional for a moment.
This village is the ancestral home of his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Revathi’s grandmother. Revathi is the granddaughter of this village. One of the attendees reminded the minister of this connection.
Upon realizing this, the minister grew emotional and said, “It was during COVID. That was when my son Nikhil’s wedding took place. I had a deep desire to invite all my people from Ramanagara, Channapatna, and Mandya to the wedding feast. But due to the pandemic, it wasn’t possible. This has been a great sorrow for our family.”
“My daughter-in-law is the blessing that Mother Chamundeshwari has given to our family. She is the granddaughter of this village, Samandipur. We share a bond with this village,” the minister said emotionally.
