Bengaluru, Nov 8: Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar today said that the BJP was trying to finish CM Siddaramaiah politically as he is a mass leader.
Speaking to reporters at his Sadashivanagar residence, he said, “Siddaramaiah is a powerful mass leader. The BJP is trying to finish all strong mass leaders from Opposition parties across the country including him.” He was referring to Siddaramaiah’s statement that Congress would be finished if he was finished.
Asked about allegations of Kerala CM against Priyanka Gandhi, he said, “I don’t have much information on that. Perhaps, the Kerala CM is resorting to such allegations as he is fearing electoral loss. Priyanka Gandhi is a national leader. The voters believe that only Congress can take every section of the society together. Many people from Wayanad and other parts of Kerala have appreciated Priyanka Gandhi’s decision to contest from Wayanad. Kerala CM is jealous.”
