Explained party leaders about the Governor’s unconstitutional resolution: CM

Bengaluru, August 24: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah informed that a discussion was held with party leaders. The discussion was about the Governor’s actions, the opposition, and political developments in the state about the MUDA case.

He was speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan today.Yesterday, the Deputy Chief Minister travelled to New Delhi. The Home Minister and other ministers also accompanied him. They went to brief party leaders on Karnataka’s political developments. The opposition’s Padayathra on the MUDA case and counter political strategy by our party were discussed. The government deemed the Governor’s permission illegal and unconstitutional. It has been challenged in the High Court, with a hearing adjourned to August 29. The CM said that the party leaders were briefed about the decision being clearly condemned in the cabinet.

All possibilities explored : When asked about complaining to the Hon’ble President against the Governor’s actions, the CM said that all possibilities are open. The CM said all possibilities are open. The CM stated that they are considering all options.

Verification of returned bill : About the Governor returning six bills submitted by the government, the CM stated that this will be discussed again in the cabinet. Since the bills were before accepted in the Assembly and Legislative Council, a review will be conducted.

Bus fare hike: Action after discussion : On the question of increasing bus fares, the CM said that water tariffs might also be hiked like the bus fare hike. But no decision has been made. Water rates have remained unchanged for years, and a decision will be made after discussing about increasing the rates due to the challenging situation in the water board.

Reacting to the confusion about the KPSC exam, CM Siddaramaiah clarified that there is no confusion. He also stated that the exam date can’t be postponed. but, the exam date on Krishna Janmashtami has been changed.
