Haveri: With nothing to talk against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was trying to create scare among the people that BJP would change the Constitution, said former chief minister and Gadag-Haveri Lok Sabha constituency BJP candidate Basavaraj Bommai.
Reacting to the CM Siddaramaiah’s statement that people must not vote for the BJP which would change the Constitution, he told reporters before launching the campaign in Savanur on Saturday, that the CM didn’t have anything to say against the PM. He had said this several times. None can change the Constitution as everything was governed by rules. Even the Supreme Court has ruled out changing the Constitution. But Siddaramaiah had been saying this to create scare among the people. Dr B.R.Ambedkar had given the permanent constitution to the nation.
Bharath Matha will feel happy
Reacting to Congress MLA Laxman Savadi’s statement that Bharath Matha ki jai was not the propriety of the BJP, the former CM said every citizen of the Bharath has the right to chant this slogan and let the Congress leaders also chant this slogan so that Bharath Matha would feel happy. Taking permission of AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge to chant this slogan would Indicate the Congress mindset.
Asked about Siddaramaiah’s prediction that the BJP would not win 400 seats, Bommai said the Congress party was contesting only in 230 seats and they talk about other party. The BJP would cross 370 seats mark cent percent and the BJP government would come to power again.
On telephone tapping of Dr Nirmalanandanatha swamiji of the Adi Chunchanagiri mutt, he said there was no clarity and one must talk only if there is clarity.
Reacting to the statement that Sri Dingaleshwara Swami of the Shirahatti Fakireshwara Trust would become another Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh, Bommai said why not it should happen if the people wished.
