Bengaluru, Friday October 06: The Revenue Department, which had cleared the encroachment of 6.07 acres of government land worth 25 crores near Yelahanka and Bagalur last week, has now cleared the encroachment of 6.05 acres of Government land worth Rs.10 crores acres has been cleared and taken over by the government. Through this, the Revenue department has yet again cracked down on land grabbers and land mafia.
Earlier the department had directed to submit a detailed report on documents related to the land Survey No. 28 of Kattigenahalli Village, Jala Hobli, Yelahanka Taluk and take immediate action against encroachers who in possession of the land without proper Khata. Also, it was directed to take appropriate action to remove the name of the khata holder from the Pahani who is continuing illegally without any documents, and to check all the documents related to the said land and submit a detailed report along with attested copies of the documents.
In relation to this, concerned land surveyors from the office of the Assistant Director of Land Records, in coordination with the Village Accounts Officers and the Revenue Inspectors, carried out the measurement work of the land, prepare a list of the names and areas of the RTC holders and the names and areas of the incumbents and submitted a report along with the map. The officers were directed to verify the documents as per the report, identify the encroachers and evict the illegal encroachers from the land.
Further to this, it has been decided to hold an inquiry under Section 104 of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 and notices have been issued to the respondents. According to the measurement, a total land of 6.05 acres in Survey No. 28 of Kattigenahalli village is marked as encroachment and has been cleared by the taluk surveyor.
