Bandipur: It is alarming that three leopard carcasses were discovered in Bandipur on Thursday, June 22. One leopard, a sub-adult female, was found dead near Mangala village.
According to conservator of forest Dr. Ramesh Kumar, the cause of death is terrorial fight. The leopard could have possibly died two or three days ago.
Another carcass of badly injured male was found in Kaniyanpura, Kundhkere range. The third leopard death has been reported from the buffer zone near Gundulpet. According to Dr. Ramesh Kumar the leopard was poisoned. It had died after devouring a dog which had been poisoned.
