DKS breaks down before his Guru’s samadhi

Bengaluru, May 14: “I owe my everything to my Guru Ajjayya. I offer everything at his feet” KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar said, wiping his tears, in front of the Samadhi of Kadasiddeshwar Swamiji at the Mutt in Nonavinakere on Sunday.

Accompanied by his wife and brother D. K. Suresh, Shivakumar visited the Kadasiddeshwar Mutt to offer his obeisance to his late spiritual Guru.

“Whether it is a happy moment or sad moment, I come here and share everything with my Guru. My Guru has given me strength to withstand pain and agony at times of crisis. At the same time, my Guru has given me strength to exercise restrain during happiness,” Shivakumar told the media outside the Mutt.

The Mutt is named after Kadasiddeshwar Swamiji, a mystic seer who lived 600 years ago and was into spreading spirituality and involved in social service.

The Mutt is now headed by Shivayogeshwar Swamiji.

Shivakumar recalled that he had visited the Mutt after taking over as the KPCC President and before commencing the election campaign.

“Now that our party has registered a marvellous victory in the polls all due to the blessings of Ajjayya ( My Guru), it is my moral duty and responsibility to pay my gratitude to my Guru and offer prayers,” Shivakumar added.

He refused to take any questions on the future steps being taken to form the government. “The high command will decide in consultation with the MLAs,” Shivakumar said.
