Bengaluru, May 10: Describing the exit polls as unscientific and hence unrealistic, Congress Vice President Prof Radhakrishna on Wednesday asserted that his party will get a comfortable majority.
“With all due respects to the TV channels which have projected hung assembly in their exit polls, I would say that the Congress will get working majority and we will form the government in our own,” Prof Radhakrishna said, in an exclusive chat with The Newz Peg.
He said his confidence is based on the ground and grassroot reality with sound and solid information received directly from the people.
“Tell me. These exit polls are done till 3 or 4 pm. Heavy polling is reported after 5 pm. Has anybody bothered to take the opinion of these slog over voters. That’s why I say this exit polls are unscientific and hence unrealistic,” Prof Radhakrishna explained.
According to Prof Radhakrishna, the exit polls in Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand were totally off-target where Congress won comfortable majority. I do not want to pass any comment on the credibility of these exit polls,” the Congress leader said.
Asked about the Chief Minister if Congress wins, Prof Radhakrishna said the party high command will decide in consultation with the elected members.
