Bengaluru, April 28: The JDS had come out with a unique promise for women – marry a farmer and get Rs 2 lakh as incentive
This is one of the main propositions of the JDS manifesto to promote agriculture and farming activity.
The JDS had also promised restoration of 4 percent reservation to Muslims and Rs 25 lakh assistance for those suffering from rare disease.
“We will also implement Justice Sadashiva Commission recommendations on internal reservations and increase the financial incentive to milk producers by Rs 2 per liter of milk,” the manifesto stated.

Setting up of fast track courts to try those spreading communal hatred, Rs 10,000 crore annually to complete Upper Krishna Projects, five free cylinders per year and a new pension scheme taking the best from OPS and NPS are some of the other promises made by the party.
Waiving of loans of women self help groups and amusement park at Mysore in collaboration with Disney World and five percent of the budgetary allocation to be set aside for religious minorities.
JDS President C. M. Ibrahim said that all the promises made in the manifesto are practical and hence can be implemented.
“Unlike the Congress and the BJP, JDS will practice what we preach. We are committed for the overall development of the state with focus and thrust on irrigation, education, farmers , women, youth and religious minorities,” Ibrahim added.
