UP: Youth uses girlfriend’s father’s phone to make threat call to CM Yogi Adityanath, Arrested

Kanpur Apr. 26: Uttar Pradesh police have arrested a man for threatening to kill CM Yogi Adityanath. Accused has been identified as Ameen (19) a resident of Begumpurva.
Police have confirmed that, accused used his girlfriend’s father’s phone to make the threat call. He had directly called police emergency number ERSS 112 and threatened to kill CM Yogi Aditayanath
He was arrested from Begumpurva and the mobile phone used to make the call seized, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Ankita Sharma said.
Ameen hatched the conspiracy after being frustrated by the father of his girlfriend who was not happy with their relationship, she said.
Woman’s father had said that he lost his phone about 10-days ago, who is a e-rickshaw driver by profession.
Ameen’s neighbours also said during questioning that he hatched the conspiracy to trap the man as he wanted to marry his daughter.
After Ameen was taken into custody and interrogated, he confessed to his crime, police said.
Police further added that Ameen admitted of stealing the mobile phone of his girlfriend’s father about 10 days ago and using his SIM card to make the threat call.
Three criminal cases have been registered against Ameen, who will be produced before the court today, the police said.
