Bengaluru, April 22: JDS leader and former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy was admitted to Manipal Hospital late evening on Saturday.

“There is nothing to worry. He is a little physically exhausted due to continues tour and matters related to ticket distribution. He has been advised complete rest,” JDS sources said.

According to hospital sources, Kumaraswamy has fever and throat infection. “He is being treated for these two problems. He will be alright in a day or two,” sources explained.

It may be noted that the former chief minister has taken upon himself the responsibility of touring the state. He has already finished about 19 districts and more than 110 constituencies addressing the public as well as workers.

Kumaraswamy is the star attraction during the party’s Pancharatna yatra along with C. M. Ibrahim. Both of them have been pulling lot of crowd and getting very good response.

While JDS patriarch H. D. Deve Gowda is almost immobile due to age-related factors, H. D. Revanna has confined himself to Hassan district as well as a few other Assembly segments in Old Mysore region.

In these circumstances, it is Kumaraswamy and Ibrahim who are going on state-wide tour. “This hectic tour has affected his health. But there is nothing to worry. He will be back in action in a day or two,” a top leader said.

Meanwhile, hundreds of JDS workers offered special pooja in several temples in Ramanagara and Channapatna including Kengal Hanuman temple for the speedy recovery of Kumaraswamy.
