Bengaluru, April 13: The Congress party on Thursday tore the BJP into pieces by describing its claim of being a disciplined party as a “big sham”
“The kind of statements being issued by the disgruntled leaders and workers and the manner in which they are protesting on the streets of Karnataka has shattered it smithereen its claim of being a disciplined party with a difference,” Congress Vice President Prof Radhakrishna said, while speaking to The Newz Peg here on Thursday.
According to Prof Radhakrishna, intrinsically and inherently the BJP lacks “camaraderie, bonhomie and mutual trust among leaders and workers.
“This sudden eruption of violent reaction is the manifestation of the pent up anger of the cadre and leaders against those who are controlling and running the organisation,” Prof Radhakrishna explained.
He said dissidence leading to indiscipline are common in political parties but one should handle it with deftness and finesse. “You cannot control a human organisation with brute force. BJP has failed in the art of human and organisational management,” Prof Radhakrishna added.
He admitted that his party too had its share of embarrassing moments but the leadership never allowed things to go out of control beyond a point.
“Congress is a democratic party in the real and true sense of the word. We give opportunities for the leaders and workers to vent their anger. Ultimately, we abide by the high command’s decision. These traits are conspicuous by its absence in BJP,” said Prof Radhakrishna who is also the Vice Chairman of the Manifesto Drafting Committee.
