Bengaluru, March 25: Every word, every move of politicians will always have a message and a motive. So is the case with Amit Shah, Union Home Minister.
After getting down from his car at the portico of the residence of former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa, Amit Shah stood for a while and then called B. Y. Vijayendra.

Yediyurappa was shocked as he was waiting to offer bouquet and receive the Union Home Minister. But shrewd Amit Shah had his own calculations.
By calling Vijayendra and patting him at the back as well as posing for a photograph with a broad smile, Amit Shah sent a, rather, powerful message to both the Lingayath community as well as BSY’s opponents within the BJP – that the party’s central leadership attaches utmost importance to the young and upcoming leader.
It was also a, rather, subtle attempt to tell the Lingayath community that Vijayendra is the heir to Yediyurappa’s legacy.

Vijayendra was all smiles when he served delicious dishes to Amit Shah even as Yediyurappa looked on the two with keen curiosity.
“How many times you have gone round the state? How many meetings you have conducted? What else is happening? Amit Shah posed series of questions.

“I replied honestly without exaggeration. Amit ji was happy. He asked me to become more dynamic like my father,” Vijayendra told The Newz Peg.
When Amit Shah called Yediyurappa for a separate talks inside the chamber at his residence, Yediyurappa realized that the Union Home Minister deliberately spoke to his son first ‘with a purpose’

Amit Shah’s gesture and movements at Yediyurappa’s residence vis-a-vis Vijayendra had sent the right message to many people. The Union Home Minister had achieved what he wanted to – send a message to Yediyurappa’s and Vijayendra’s detractors within the party and also send a message to the Lingayath community that in the BJP’s scheme of things both BSY and BYV do matter very seriously.
