Bengaluru, March 19: As many as 593 families across three Southern States on Sunday smiled, perhaps, for the first time in their life.
For, a member of their family was able to do lead a normal life such as walking on their own, moving their hands on their own etc, etc thanks to Narayan Seva Sansthan which arranged artificial limbs and calipers here on Sunday.

“I have become a normal person today,” said Chandraiah, of Kunigal, with tears of joy. He lost his limb during Corona. “Today, I can lead a normal life with pride and confidence,” he said.
Shivashankar of Gauribidanur had something similar. “I lost my leg in an accident near my native place. I came to know about this camp through WhatsApp. I got back my leg. I remain eternally grateful to Narayan Seva Sansthan,” he said, crying profusely.

Nagaraj from Hosur had the same story. “I lost my leg in my native place in an accident. This Narayan Seva Sansthan has come as real god for people like us,” said Nagaraj unable to control his tears.
The artificial limb and calipers distribution camp at Mahratta Hostel Grounds had hundreds of such human interest stories and emotional moments on Sunday.
Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot was a witness to this “transformation of life” of these “divyangs”. In a rare and humane gesture, the Governor spoke to hundreds of beneficiaries and also distributed the artificial limbs and calipers.

“Narayan Seva Sansthan is the institutionalized form of God. I regard myself fortunate to be present here. You have brought back the smile on the face of 593 families,” Thawar Chand Gehlot said in his brief speech.
Prashanth Agarwal, President of Narayan Seva Sansthan, said his organization has been holding artificial limb camp throughout the country.
“We are also conducting mass marriages of divyangs and also providing them employment,” Prashanth Agarwal added.
