Bengaluru, March 15: The PMO has expressed its anguish over the BJP state office decision to include rowdy-sheeter fighter Ravi’s name in the list of dignitaries to greet Modi at Mandya.
“Fix the responsibility as to who included fighter Ravi’s name and send us a report,” a, rather, curt message has come from the PMO through the BJP Central Office.
The list of people to receive and send-off Modi is prepared by the state office. If the PM goes to different districts, then the state office gets the names from the respective districts and sends it to OSD to PM for security clearance.

In this Mandya case, the list was prepared and approved by one Sabbanahalli Krishna, Joint Organising Secretary of the Mysore Vibhag.
BJP leaders are of the view that it was atrocious the party’s Organising Secretary approved the list that had a rowdy-sheeter’s name.
“The state office has no role to play in preparing the list of the workers of various districts to receive and send-off the PM. We well just do the job of postman, forward the list received from the PMO for approval,” an important functionary in the state office told The Newz Peg.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje has admitted that it was a grave lapse on the part of the party to have included rowdy-sheeter’s name in the list to greet PM.
“The PM is not responsible for it. It is the lapse on the part of the district police. The SP ought to have been more careful,” Shobha said.
However, Mandya Police asserted that the list was prepared by the local leaders and sent directly to state BJP office to obtain approval from the PMO.
